Part 1 defined URV. Part 2 made UCV the prerequisite. Part 3 audited current state. Part 4 decided scope. Part 5 configured the foundation. Today we reach the payoff — Part 3 of the playbook: Workflow & Automation. This is where URV stops being a data model and starts being a living system.

Three workflow families do all the work:

Forecast Intelligence. Traditional forecasting relies on deal stage plus rep gut feel. Both lie. Relationship-based forecasting doesn't. A weekly workflow recalculates a Relationship Health Score (0-100) for every active Deal from four factors: engagement recency with key stakeholders, stakeholder breadth across the account, response velocity from the buyer, and momentum direction week-over-week. A daily workflow assigns Forecast Category from the Health Score: Commit (Health >80 AND Stage ≥ Validate Value), Best Case (Health 60-80 AND Stage ≥ Evaluate Value), Pipeline (everything else). When the board asks "how do you know Q2 forecast is $2.1M at 85% confidence?" — you can explain exactly which relationship signals support the number.

Early Warning. Most teams discover churn risk at the renewal conversation. That's too late. A daily workflow scans every active subscription where days-to-renewal is under 120, scores risk indicators, and sorts accounts into Critical, At Risk, Monitor, and Low Risk buckets. A weekly workflow catches stalled Deals — stage unchanged 14+ days, no meetings scheduled, Health under 50 — and either re-engages them or moves them to Closed Lost before they inflate forecast. Both workflows exist for the same reason: surface problems while there's still time to fix them.

Handoff & Delivery. The gap between "Deal = Value Activated" and "customer successful" is where most revenue leakage happens. Context doesn't transfer. Expectations drift. Stakeholders go unknown. The Value Activated trigger fires an automated handoff sequence: create Order with Deal line items and contacts, create Implementation Project, compile a Handoff Brief Note on the Company record (what was sold, key stakeholders, success metrics from the Quote, timeline, special considerations), notify Implementation Owner and Customer Success, schedule a kickoff task. Then as Onboarding Status changes, the system automatically adjusts Subscription Health Trend, Account Health, Churn Risk, and Renewal Confidence — and flags expansion opportunities when a customer reaches Fully Onboarded.

The throughline across all three: the system tells you what it observes, not what anyone hopes. Forecast based on relationships, not optimism. Risk surfaced from patterns, not from awkward conversations. Handoffs triggered by stage changes, not by anyone remembering to send an email.

For any team that's done the foundation work, this is where the investment pays back. The workflows aren't the last mile of URV — they're the engine that makes the foundation worth building.
