We Built the Production Studio

Three episodes aired this week. Behind them, an entire media production platform went from empty directory to deployed at media.valuefirstteam.com โ€” 6 layers, 15 pages, 27 API endpoints, and a Green Room with live video.

Key insight visualization representing We Built the Production Studio

Three episodes aired on the Value-First Media network this week. That is a light number for us. Here is why.

We were building the thing that makes all the episodes possible.

What Aired

The shows did not stop. Three recordings went to air between Wednesday and Thursday:

All three have recordings. All three now have full transcripts. The production pipeline works.

But the real story this week happened at a different URL.

media.valuefirstteam.com

The Value-First Media Network now has its own production platform. Not a page on the website. Not a folder in a shared drive. A dedicated application built for the people who make the shows.

It went from an empty directory to a deployed, authenticated, multi-layer platform in five days. Here is what it does.

The Host Dashboard

Every host who signs in sees their shows, their episodes, and their engagement metrics. Authentication runs through HubSpot โ€” if you are a Value-First Media host, the platform already knows who you are and which shows you belong to.

The Green Room

Before every recording, hosts now have a dedicated staging area with live video. WebRTC peer connections, camera and microphone controls, screen sharing, audio levels. Guests receive a token-based link โ€” no login required, no app to download. They click and they are in the room.

The Studio

Broadcast controls, stream management, episode preparation, and recording coordination. Everything that used to happen across five different tools now lives in one place.

The Episode Pipeline

A Kanban board that tracks every episode from scheduled through recorded, transcribed, and distributed. No more wondering which recordings have been linked or which transcripts are still processing.

Host Onboarding

An interactive guide walks new hosts through the entire platform before their first show. A public application form at media.valuefirstteam.com/host/apply lets people raise their hand to host.

Sponsor Portal

Sponsors can apply directly at media.valuefirstteam.com/sponsors/apply. The platform manages the relationship from application through show assignment.

Why This Matters

The Value-First Media network currently has 11 shows. Some are on hiatus as we restructure formats. Some are weekly. Some are daily. Scaling media production with spreadsheets and shared calendars was never going to work.

This platform is what makes it sustainable. When a host signs in, they see exactly what they need. When a guest gets a Green Room link, the experience is seamless. When a recording finishes, the pipeline knows what to do next.

The lighter episode count over the past two weeks was not a gap. It was the investment that makes the next hundred episodes better than the last hundred.

  • โ†’27 API endpoints powering authentication, episode data, streaming, analytics, host and sponsor applications
  • โ†’3 episodes aired while the platform was being built
  • โ†’3 public entry points โ€” host application, sponsor application, green room โ€” no authentication required
