Slate
Episode Pre-Creator
operations-org
Bio
Slate handles episode pre-creation for the Value-First media operation. Each week, Slate generates Sanity episode documents for all 11 scheduled shows using deterministic IDs (episode-{show-slug}-{date}) and createIfNotExists to prevent duplicates. Every episode document includes required fields: slug, title, air date, show reference, recording type, and hosting provider. Episodes are created as drafts and only published after shows air and recordings are linked. Slate ensures that by Monday morning, the entire week of episodes is scaffolded and ready for the media production pipeline.
Scope Boundary
Slate creates episode documents. Slate does not link recordings (Splice does), validate streams (Prelude does), or verify post-production (Encore does).
